MORE ON BEING SPIRITUAL

John Armitage aka Hari Das Baba, 13D Teacher Training-2016

It is one of the most important things, to be grounded. Some people think that being spaced out is being spiritual, but actually it’s escapism. It’s not dealing with things inside you, loving and forgiving and understanding yourself. You’re wasting another lifetime, really. One of the most important things to remember is that the only way we can stand in our power is to be human and not to be an escape artist. I’ve realized there’s no escape. You have to be there now and understand what’s happening, to and around you as an individual.

guru-comicOne time I lived for 3000 years on planet earth. I spent 2000 of them in a cave in the Himalayas, starving myself and meditating. What did I get out of it? A sore ass. Enlightenment through punishing myself, my body?  Ignorance. The program is that everything is difficult. This is from the controllers. Gives them a sense of power.

There’s an idea that you have to be spiritual. This idea of spirituality doesn’t free us; it only enslaves us more. We have to behave a certain way, we have to dress in a certain way, we have to eat a certain way, we have to speak a certain way and everything. You’re not a miserable human being trying to be spiritual, you’re a spiritual being having a human experience.

A Message from Your Guides June 27, 2016

Channeled by Salena Migeot

Dearest Beloved Ones,

We bring you great love and good tidings on this auspicious day. Much has been happening to liberate you from your bonds of powerlessness through lack and misinformation. More and more information will be revealed that will allow you to understand, perhaps for the first time, that you are sovereign. There are those in your world who have gone to great lengths to hide this fact from you and have done their best to keep you small, disempowered, in lack, and doubting yourselves and your abilities. These ones largely control your media and all the advertising that is designed to allow you to feel as though something is wrong with you – you are not as well as you could be, you are not as beautiful as you could be, you are not as wealthy as you could be, you are not the right size, you don’t exercise enough, you don’t have the right job, the right ways of spending your down time, the right friends/social lives/communities, the right clothes, the right car, and on and on until you feel lack in many areas of your lives instead of being grateful for all of your blessings, your loved ones, and all you do have.

For this reason, those who watch television tend to feel greater lack than those who do not. For those of you who are thinking ‘There are people who do not watch television?!’ we are talking to you. Consider the people you know at work, in your family or community, wherever you know people. Aren’t there those who do not care one whit about the latest fashion trends, diet and exercise fads, having a late model car, wearing heels that over time are injurious to one’s well-being, having their hair done at this or that salon, wearing the best suits or dresses, and so many other things that many of you spend a great deal of time and money on. They recognize that ‘keeping up’ in these ways is a never ending cycle, a game one cannot win. They understand that what is important is not material and does not go in and out of fashion. They understand that staying connected to the things that help them feel authentic is important for their well-being and trying to keep up with standards that are commercially manufactured is not good for their well-being. These ones have traditionally been on the fringes of society but they are becoming more and more numerous and now are part of all walks of life and society. They know that they are becoming more empowered through their choices to detach from societal expectations and be more authentically themselves.  They feel empowered to choose those things that make them feel good about themselves and their lives –  whether it is ‘greener’ living in general, tiny houses, giving up a gym membership to exercise outdoors for free, selling their SUVs and buying more fuel efficient cars, letting go of seasonal clothes shopping in favor of buying truly high quality clothes of natural fabrics that will last decades, wearing comfortable shoes that help keep them grounded on the Earth instead of high heels that inhibit them being grounded, and on and on, they are doing what feels right and feeling good about it.

As this becomes more and more the norm, those who feel that they have to keep up with trends will find they don’t have as many people to talk to about trends, to compare notes and feel superior or inferior to. That is exactly the point. If you are not keeping up, you feel less than, not good enough. If you are, you are likely spending a great deal of time, energy, and money doing so and you are likely feeling unfulfilled, unhappy, and not as authentic as you could be. Dearest Ones, know there is nothing outside of you that makes you more or less worthy. You are worthy. No exceptions. No physical ownership of anything makes you more worthy.  No membership makes you more worthy. No lack of these things makes you less worthy. No style of clothing or hair or anything else makes you more or less worthy. You are incredibly worthy just as you are. You have been created in your own unique and exceptional way to contribute your uniqueness to the world to make it more beautiful in a way only you can. No one else can do that for you. You cannot do that for anyone else. If you are not making choices that are deeply satisfying to you, you are not living an authentic life.

We invite you to assess the areas of your life that you are giving time and energy to that do not satisfy your soul – relationships, memberships, jobs, neighborhoods, social circles, exercise classes, shopping excursions, and so many other things you spend time and energy on that do not serve your highest good or they would feel really good to you. We are not saying that all authentic choices are devoid of any difficulty. We are saying authentic choices speed you in your soul growth on your soul path. In order to grow on that path, it is necessary for you to meet challenges. How you handle the challenges determines the rate of your soul growth. If you stay in trust that everything is happening for your highest good, that will be your experience. If you stay in fear, doubt, anxiety, and uncertainty, you are prolonging that which you do not want and postponing your own growth and joy. The more authentically you live, the easier it is to let go of fear, doubt, anxiety, and uncertainty. When you live your life for yourself first, you are living authentically. This does not mean being selfish at all whatsoever. It means taking care of yourself first so you have the wherewithal to help others in all the ways you do. If you are not helping others to some extent, you are not living authentically. You are social beings, and you are meant to live and be as one. Until you come into a greater understanding of what that means, take care of yourself and work on your own personal authenticity. It can and will be life-changing for you.

Dearest Ones, we are loving you with a power of love beyond your current understanding or experience and we so look forward to you coming into the knowing of how powerfully you are loved.

And so it is.

THE PRIME DIRECTIVE

We were watching an old Star Trek: The Next Generation episode last night. Capt. Picard et al were out to rescue a group of scientists who had been observing a civilization at a hunter/gatherer level. Something had gone wrong with their energy generator that created the illusion that kept their blind hidden. It had exploded and injured most of the people there. In attempting to rescue them, the crew of the Enterprise were seen, causing an infraction of the Prime Directive: do not interfere with or influence other civilizations in any way. The man who saw them was also badly injured by the defective energy output, so the crew took him back to the ship to treat his injuries. Their attempt at mind-wipe didn’t work. When the man woke up lying where he had first fallen, he remembered seeing “god” or “the gods” who had “brought him back to life”.

This created all kinds of problems for the Enterprise people. Two went down to the planet in disguise, to try to fix things and to rescue one scientist left behind. The people felt they had to deal with the strange ones; in their fear of “the god Picard” they finally decided to kill the strangers, for surely the “god” wanted that. The crew tried many things to show the people that they were human, not gods. Even when Picard tried to tell them the truth, the people still believed that he was powerful and could bring people back to life. Picard finally allowed them to shoot him with an arrow, and his bleeding convinced them that he was mortal.

Of course, this was all a metaphor for the more recent history of humanity, the meddling by higher dimensional beings and the legends that helped to create “religion” here. We can see how fear, especially fear of death, influences mortal people who have lost contact with their higher dimensional Selves. This episode came out in 1989, I’m sure to plant seeds in our minds to ready us for “first contact”.

This type of thing is still playing out on earth: religious wars, religious-inspired murder and mayhem. Hopefully these are the last-ditch efforts of very fearful people to get some control over the vast changes in energy that are happening here. Hopefully they will finally let go and let the Love flow. I will keep grounding the Love energy, and I invite you to join me in that, no matter what else is going on around us.

In Love,
Phyllis

LIVING A CREATIVE LIFE

“We can experience in two basic ways. We can be in the experience for what it really is at the moment, or we can process it through our file of past experiences, assigning meaning and value to it as it relates to our past. The first is truly creative; the second is ego-based conditioning and leads to no true creativity.” Quantum Creativity, Amit Goswami, pp. 31-2.

I’m walking out to the car, hurrying because I’m running a bit “late”—suddenly I notice that it’s a lovely misty morning, there are a few birds chirping in the distant tree tops, the air is vibrant with life and possibility, my heart lifts.

I run across a book I read a long time ago (perhaps a New Paradigm or Shamballa manual?), and I pick it up, open to a page. The words jump out at me. I don’t remember reading this at all! It just slipped right past me then, not registering. NOW I am open to these concepts…

I’m doing Yoga stretches in the morning, and suddenly I remember to breathe deeply. I begin to feel parts of my body that are tight or stiff or hurting, and allow the breath to seep into them. They begin to relax. I continue breathing and listening and feeling my body…

I’m driving home, trying to get there before dark, and the road turns so that I am facing west. There’s a beautiful sunset happening, free for all, colors divine, energy off the charts…

It’s dinner time, and I haven’t even started preparing anything. I check the refrigerator and begin throwing stuff onto the counter, wondering how I can put it all together into a meal. Then, I do it! And it’s fun and it comes out great!

I’m walking down the street, thinking about all the things I have to do, worrying about some of them, and I see a child crying. I stop and breathe and begin to run Mahatma, and send some of this love energy around the child and the tired-looking mother. My heart lifts as I walk on.

I hear about death and destruction on the “news” and begin to despair. Then I allow myself to become curious about how we’re going to turn this around into an ascended Earth and humanity. I begin to envision Light flowing into the hearts of all the people—murderers, fanatics, refugees, politicians, stockbrokers, moms, children, teachers, medical personnel, newscasters…all stopping and realizing that we are One, what I do to you I do to me, and to any concept of God that I hold.

This is really an extension of my previous blog, “Life begins beyond my comfort zone.” If we are not learning, we are not growing. We are just taking up space. And a lifetime on Earth is an amazing opportunity to learn and grow and serve.

Things that keep us from jumping into the creative realm with both feet: FEAR of the unknown, FEAR of losing what we think we have (job, relationship, status), FEAR of not maintaining a familiar routine that works for us (meaning keeps us in that comfort zone), FEAR of what others will think of us.

One of my favorite quotes is: “When you find yourself in a hole–stop digging!” (Will Rogers). I would add: “Stand up, breathe, and actually experience the situation and yourself in it.”

There are many forms of FEAR to give us excuses to stagnate. There is one LOVE, without conditions and without judgment, that takes us out of all those fears and into the creative realm of all possibility. In order to access our creativity, it helps to stop, breathe, and really experience whatever it is we are experiencing, instead of filtering it all through fear.

In Love, Phyllis

The Big Short

I just saw the movie The Big Short. It tried to explain what happened to cause the economic crash of 2007-8. What I got out of it was that these Wall Street people are addicts—gambling addicts. They lose all sense of proportion when they get caught up in the thrill of the game. It helps that they seem to start off with no moral compass at all. They don’t care who they hurt, what repercussions their actions—fraud, deceit, criminal behavior—will have in the world. Yes, true addicts. And they’re in charge of the world economy.

In the end, they won anyway. The taxpayers “bailed them out” and they all gave themselves bonuses. No one at the top went to jail. The common people lost their jobs, savings, homes. Somehow we’re supposed to be able to stop them. I’m not sure how. Perhaps the solution lies in a PARADIGM SHIFT, a change in perspective.

My favorite line in the movie came from a disillusioned member of the In Group. He’d decamped, “back to the land” style. A couple of young would-be players in the Game who knew him contacted him for help in investing in “shorts”—this means gambling that the current system would fail, basically. He agreed that it was a sure thing. He helped them. Later, after the crash, they asked him why he had helped them, since he no longer wanted any part of that scene. He said, “You wanted to get rich.” There was no “stuff” attached to his statement. You wanted to do this, so I helped you. There was an implicit “but I don’t care about that any more,” and you knew as he said it that he felt that getting rich was an empty goal. But if they wanted to try it, OK. There was no judgment attached to his statement. Just an implicit, “It’s not for me.” Best line in the whole movie.

It’s about perspective. Knowing who we are, why we are here, and not getting distracted by the bling. Addiction is all about trying to fill a hole in the psyche, a feeling that something is missing, so we have to get, get, get stuff, money, “love”, sex, religion, a guru, fast track to “ascension” as a kind of “beam me up Scotty” escape, whatever. It’s also about not wanting to do the hard stuff that gets you to the Truth, like soul searching, opening the heart, releasing fear, and taking responsibility for yourself.

Our whole society is set up to make addicts out of us. Then we’re easily controlled, and fleeced. If we have money, we want more. If we don’t, we what what “they” have. This is supposed to make us “happy”. The Pursuit of Happiness—it’s an American value and right, written into the Declaration of Independence. The common way to pursue happiness is to pursue 3D stuff—including status, ego boosting acclaim from others who are also pursuing their own stuff and status.

This lifestyle is enslavement, not freedom. It’s the opposite of living in freedom and love without conditions. Living from the heart and grounding the Love of Source is why I am on this path and writing this blog and teaching NPMDT classes, and making essences. This is why I am HERE. If you are following this blog, perhaps this is why you are here too. And perhaps this will make a difference.

Germain has told us, ““There is nothing else in creation other than freedom worth spending time on. Yes, freedom in LOVE. So stop searching. Look within and be free.”

LIFE BEGINS BEYOND MY COMFORT ZONE

As I was reading a recent astrological report from Lorna Bevan  this phrase jumped out at me: “Life begins beyond my comfort zone.” I can relate. Looking back at my own life, I can see that such times “beyond my comfort zone” have been the times of greatest growth. The trick is to recognize this while immersed in new and probably fearful and painful territory.

The comfort zone represents complacency. I LOVE my comfort zone! It’s cozy, predictable, won’t push my buttons or push me beyond my perceived limits. It’s a great place for a rest. It’s also eventually boring. Why are we here? To feel comfortable? Or to experience life as a human in its fullest possibility, as a part of and representative of Source? I’m sure it’s the latter.

I’m not talking about drama, here. We create drama when we want to avoid dealing with something outside the zone. Drama drags us back into the zone, and is another form of it—a distraction from discovering and facing truth. To many, pain and suffering represent the comfort zone, because they are familiar and “predictable.” We can avoid self-searching and self-knowledge, we can avoid taking responsibility for ourselves, by immersing ourselves in drama and victimhood.

I remember John Armitage once telling a story about when he started teaching Shamballa as Master Germain wanted him to, helping people move beyond Reiki. Those who felt challenged by his teachings, who were afraid of losing comfortable doctrines and ways of doing things that they held dear, or perhaps just losing their livelihood, protested. Some sent hate mail. As he was driving to teach somewhere in Europe, he was remonstrating to Kuthumi (John often has conversations with multidimensional Masters on his road trips). “Why should I continue with this project? Look at how these people are reacting!” etc. etc. Kuthumi came back with, “My friend, you are not here to become the world’s most popular person.” John says that got him back on track. Yes, he was outside his comfort zone. John usually is. He’s learned to live there, and that is the mark of mastery.

One of my favorite quotes is from Neal Donald Walsh’s Conversations With God:

The reason that the true master does not complain is that the true master is not suffering, but simply experiencing a set of circumstances that you would call insufferable.

I’ve got that one up on my bathroom mirror, staring me in the face every morning as I wash the sleep out of my eyes and the dream-webs out of my brain. There are many times in my life that I have found myself muttering, “I’m merely experiencing! I’m merely experiencing! I’m merely experiencing!” Such as the time my car died at a stoplight in the middle of a 4-lane highway (it turned out a tow truck had pulled up right behind me. THANKS, universe!). Or when my house burned down—and two years later my temporary house as well. Or last week when the water froze and the chimney got stopped up, all during minus 20 degree weather. That time I was shouting “What the bleep am I supposed to be learning here!” Not my finest moment.

Once we can get over ourselves and laugh during such experiences “outside our comfort zones” we are on the way to mastery, to living a joyful life, to experiencing life on earth as a true human and a spiritual being having a human experience.

So, pat yourself on the back when you remember to be thankful for those times that life pushed you outside the comfort zone. Laugh at yourself when you remember times that perhaps you went beyond merely experiencing, and those around you learned a few new words. You’re human! But not ONLY human. And human is a pretty cool thing to be.

In love & light, Phyllis
